Somebody might have a printable housing for its tube on the interwebs if you want to have some fun with it. I’d like to do it for mine, but I have to sell the wife on a printer first.

I own one of those. The rubber coating is all sticky. And it’s Gen1. Disgusting.

Okay I was wondering because I have another one from years back and the thing is also sticky and I have no idea why.
Thankfully, the l3 is not sticky, just drippy

:( What's wrong with gen 1. It's a very important part of the night vision development. There would be no gen 2 or 3 without the gen 1s. Of course the performance is not going to be as good as modern stuff but there's no reason to call it disgusting.

First of all the title is a joke.
Went to grab some parts from my boss to fix the work vehicle and his mom said he had bought this night vision thing but it didn't work at all and I csn have it and maybe I could get it working. So I went into the employee bathroom. Turned it on aaaaand it worked lol.
I think my grandfather got one of these for us yeeeeears ago so kinda fun to have two now. Probably not as nice as my l3 unfilmed pvs14 from Darq but hey. Free NV lol.

😅 I think that was a lot of people. I thought calling it a pvs14 and saying assult weapon would make it obvious it was satire.
