I am a Hotel Housekeeper, AMA

My daughter works as a hotel housekeeper and maintenance person at a hotel. She is sitting next to me, but I can type faster than her. Ask Me Anything and I will post her responses.

How long have you been a hotel housekeeper? What is the most valuable item you have found left behind by a customer? Most disgusting item left behind by a customer? Craziest story, that you can share?
Thank you

For a year and a half or 2 years. A brand new IPhone. Used condoms. A man screaming hysterically at the top of his lungs how we lied about having a fitness center. We actually do, but it was under construction. Unless you want the lady who was drunk and face planted in the hotel lobby. Or the drunk lady we found passed out, outside the hotel. Or how we got robbed at gun point. Just a few she can think of now.
EDIT: Spelling.

Did you give the iPhone back?

Yes. We have a 90 day lost and found policy. If a guest leaves something in the room we put it in lost and found. If they come back to claim it or call and asked to have it mailed to them we will do that. If they don't claim it, which ever housekeeper found the item gets to keep it. This includes items or money.
