Complete fish noob here: What fish is that and is it a good beginner fish?

p. Senegal and no it's a horrible beginner fish just for how huge they get. It's a type bichir eel. I really want one myself but none of my tanks are big enough :c

Polypterus senegalus.
If you are able to house it properly and can actually take advice and do proper critical research, no they're not difficult.

Once I found out how big they get I noped out of it. Don't want to make a fish suffer for no valid reason.

Unfortunately that statememt alone already makes you a better fish keeper than many!
