What did Pre-colonial American military tactics look like without cavalry?
Cavalry has been an integral part of military tactics and strategy in the Eastern Hemisphere for essentially as long as we have historical records. My understanding is that horses we introduced to the Americas with Spanish colonists as their American brethren had long since gone extinct. So what did pre-colonial military tactics look like without what seems to be such an integral facet of war in other parts of the world?
