Golden Visa

I am looking to buy a €250,000 converted commercial property for residential use (apartment) in Athens to obtain the Golden Visa. What tips, warnings, or suggestions do you have? Thanks!

I believe it's up to 400k now, but I'm not positive.

Thanks, but not this type of apartment. They are still €250,000

Cool! Just make sure to get yourself not only a good broker, but a lawyer that *YOU* trust, etc.

If you covert a commercial property into a residential property it’s still $250,000.

Interested in the details on this if you can drop a link. I was under the impression it was significantly more expensive.

Please make sure it's LEGALLY converted. Under the new rules, the 250K minimum is valid only in specific cases, like commercial or industrial to residential, or listed buildings. The change of use has to be fully approved and registered BEFORE you file the Golden Visa application. Also, using them for short-term rentals might not be allowed. If I were you, I'd get a second opinion from an expert on Golden Visas, like Movingto.
