High or low dome eyes??

In theory, high-dome eyes are supposed to have better “depth” or something, but I’d say there’s not enough of a difference to ever choose them over low-dome eyes. The higher the dome, the more trouble you’re likely to run into with positioning the eyes in the head in any way other that staring straight ahead.

So, I recommend low-dome more often than not.

I'm not personally an expert in resin eyes as I prefer glass, so I haven't had many. Hopefully someone can give you more info.
But all the resin eyes I've had have been generally low dome, as in they're generally made like that, especially in comparison to glass eyes that there is more variation in them. Whether high dome fits well or not a lot of times comes down to specific sculpt and how their eye sockets are sculpted, if you want to be completely safe always go for low dome.
As for if they tend to yellow it will depend on quality and exposure to sunlight, but they will yellow at some point, that's one of the reasons I don't generally use them myself, but also the couple of resin eyes I have haven't yellowed at all so far (they're more than 6 years old with minimal exposure to sunlight).

I strongly prefer resin eyes over glass eyes, and prefer medium to low dome to high dome. Even though high dome is supposed to be more reflective, depending on the doll sculpt, I feel like the high dome eyes are frequently more inset and actually catch less light than the low dome. Here is a comparison of my doll with high dome resin eye on the left and low dome on the right, both 14mm.

One of my issues with glass eyes is actually that the dome is frequently too high. I also find that resin eyes allow you to see more details in the eyes more easily. I’ve had some high quality resin eyes for over 10 years and haven’t seen any yellowing, but ymmv, especially depending on the manufacturer

I have a lot of resin eyes, not seeing any yellowing yet, I like the resin or resin and clay eyes because they are usually more highly detailed for the price and look more natural.

I always prefer high dome eyes, but I only use them for dolls with bigger eye sockets like yosd, MSD, and SD girls.

If the eyes are in a sleepy/narrowed expression low dome for sure, high dome for wide open eyes in my experience. Also smaller irises work better for sleepy/narrowed eyes too.

I have a variety of eyes, 24 years worth of eyeballs. I find each doll looks best with different eyes and i swap them out to find the ones that best suit each doll individually. That said, most of my dolls wear low or mid dome eyes because they tend to fit the socket easier, my Volks YoSd has high dome glass which work best for her, one of my 3 iplehouse has high dome, the other 2 have low dome. For them it was the color and position that sealed the deal for me.

I like whatever the first two are but im not a bjd person (here bc of a cancelled project idea to make one)
