Be careful of buying silver jewelry on eBay

It’s illegal to put the 925 (Guaranteed sterling) on a piece of jewelry, unless that’s exactly what it is. As you can see, this chain is rusting, showing that it has significant amount of iron in it. Sterling is guaranteed to be 925/1000 pure silver; this clearly isn’t. Silver tarnishes, but does not rust. In the future, if I buy online, I will keep all the records so that if I get scammed, I can report the seller to eBay. EBay normally sees to it that you get a refund in such cases.
