Ix&Dao v3?

So they seem to iterate this thing faster than I can keep up. Anyone have a clue what v3 has? I know v2 had seemingly worse dial text, and maybe thicker lume and better bezel alignment. What's v3?

According to IXDAO Official Store

V3 new version with: fixed dial (remove brand text back to V1 style), signed clasp, and signed crown.

PT5000 does NOT have custom date-wheel (- so default ugly long serif font), better font only with SW200 now.

Confirmed same details with UTC Watches Store who sent me exactly the same photos of “sir, this is his current reality new version of the real”!

Thanks. So funny when they say "this is the exact photo of the real!" Then you ask a question and they go "you are right the real is different than picture".

I hate that serif date font. Seems like it's only on certain colors, but again the pictures are so confusing and not accurate so you don't know what you're getting.

I'll probably pass on this one for now.

So V2 has the IX&DAO on the dial, and they removed it again on V3?

I don’t have any working relationship with them except as a customer (and critique!). So my words are only to be taken as repeating what I’ve either learned from them directly, else my own personal experience with the products.

Caveat out the way - I’ve just ordered the same model (Black/Blue SW200 variant), from IXDAO Official Store for US$260 ($321.26 -$12 Spend&Save -$33 PromoCode -$15.46 Coins).

Before making that purchase I confirmed all the above with the seller who confirmed and sent actual photos to show the new production batches as specified (Dial as per V1 text, signed crown/clasp, etc).

I would have gone with the PT5000, however that date-wheel font is unbearable (same that put me off the recent Proxima Christopher Ward homages). Haven’t had this font on any of my other PT5K watches, so not sure if it’s the default disc font, or just a common 6-o’clock date-disc design used by these factories.

Therefore I went with the SW200 which has a great standard font for the date.

On the plus side the sw200 upgrade on the ipose is an absolute bargain... cheaper than the cost of the movement. It makes it one of the best value sw200 watches available.

I'll be curious if the date has blue font which it seems to in the photos.

We seem to have the same issues. I wouldn't buy the Proxima because of that date wheel either! It looks so off! I think I'll have to hold off until the next sale to get this one since they're basically forcing me to get the SW200! 🤦🏻‍♂️ lol Thanks for the info!

I ordered the California dial version of the V3 for this reason, no date window. The dealer I ordered it via wasn't charging a premium for that dial option, unlike everyone else.

Also bear in mind that both the IXDAO Official Store & UTC Watches Store have a “Free Return” service as part of the transaction underwritten by Ali’s platform.

It states:

“Free Return You will have 15 days from receiving the item to return it without any reason and for free if the item's conditions meet our requirements. Each buyer can benefit from the Free Return for maximum 3 times per month.”

I’ve used this service a couple of times when there has been a defect or mis-description of the item. Always no problem, provided with a shipping label with local country address.

This really does give some peace of mind with such uncertainty and is worth a slightly higher priced seller who offers this service in my opinion.

This is a great improvement! They finally got rid of the "iPose" / "Friends of iPose" / "Members of iPose" ridiculousness! As far as I know, at least one of these variants of "iPose" was somewhere on the watch on all previous generations.

RoSpectre [OP]

Despite what the picture shows it may still say friends of ipose at 6 o'clock in small print. Some newer review photos on AE seem to show that.

I also saw one render that said "friends en chine". Obviously they photo shopped in the China part but not the first part. Lol

I wish they just had current photos put up for each new version. Otherwise it's like a box of chocolates...
