Nearly 70% of reviewed financial status reports had NO supporting cost documentation. MDHHS paid out $108 million before ever reviewing proof that the work was done. You can't find improper payments if you're not looking. Thankfully, House Republicans are looking. Eliminating waste, fraud, & abuse in state healthcare programs is how we SAVED Medicaid for the people who truly need it and how we're going to ensure the program remains available for years to come.
