Whether it’s the mother in Wexford County who was told to call back in a year after asking whether her child’s murderer would be charged, a fraud victim who waits years without answers, or officers who were left sitting on the sidelines for over a year before being cleared in a shooting, the amount of time the Attorney General’s office takes to review criminal complaints is completely unacceptable.
As your Attorney General, I’ll prioritize the work of the Criminal Division and make sure the office does its job to serve and protect the people of Michigan.
