We know that insured slots, mission progress, contraband stash, key stash, and mission item stash are all being wiped.
Are we expecting active duty slots (e.g. gear and/or exfil streaks) to be wiped as well?
All they really said was that it would be a wipe like season 2, but I can’t recall if gear and/or exfil streaks (if they were even working back then) got wiped for season 2.

Back in season 2 everything on your operator was wiped so expect the same thing

I didn't start playing until 2.5, so this is good to know.
Strongly suspect active duty ops will be wiped.
If they didn't I'd just put all my skeleton keys in a backpack.
I have the same question. Not sure if I need to be conservative with my operators. I'd like to start season 4 with them geared out but not sure if their stuff will carry over.

I have my one guy who I finally got a 10 exfil streak with full gear and I wanna use him to jump into S4.
I guess I’ll just use him before the wipe and re gain start of S4.

Fair point, gearing up is an objective of itself, but as an occasional thing rather than a constant thing.
If they were to make the decision that at every exfil you lost all of your gear, every time, I don’t think people would argue that that made the game more fun.

I get it man, losing the weapon slots is a bit heavy. I am mostly a solo player too. I have friends that play DMZ as well but they are not as into it as me so I mainly play alone and I am pretty sure this wipe will make them less interested in playing too so getting my weapon slots back will be more of a hassle this time around I'm assuming.

It’s so much easier to gear up now with the barter system. Not even slightly worried about having 8 unequipped operators.

If you have 8 active duty slots, that’s a lot of gear to replace, and a lot of exfils to get the streaks back up.

Gear is to be used. I've never truly understood the fully geared screenshots posted here. It's fun to fill them up sure, but that's not an end goal or something is it?

I don’t understand what you’re saying. There isn’t a strict gear quota for the entire DMZ community: one person having a 3-plate vest doesn’t mean somebody else has to go without.

I don't think it should take anyone more than one Saturday to fill up eight operators. ashika has made gearing up soooooooo easy.
Kill 10 bots and you'll have a stronghold key card, spend 10 minutes in stronghold City and your whole squad is kitted.
Or the underwater tunnel.
Or any of the four or five bosses on Al mazzy.

Let's be honest with ourselves, the vast majority of The player base is not stressing about getting all 8 characters to Damascus dog tags. That's just a fallacy.
And most people that do get Damascus dog tags stop using that operator.

I suspect most players have put in the effort to gear up a number of slots and get decent exfil streaks going.
Once you’ve acquired good gear and decent exfil streak perks on a number of different operators (the latter of which takes a really long time to put together), having them suddenly and arbitrarily taken away is really annoying.

I'm mainly talking about the keys and mission items. The guns I could care less about since you can add attachments to any gun now in game.
