Seems like one would pick odd or even (or even for tokens) and push through with combat damage and control the board. You keep your board and hinder their. Some light aristocrat themes and sac outlets, some graveyard and combat tricks.

Mardu classics. Idk how I feel about a board wipe in the Command Zone though. So clearly obvious.

He has access to green and blue, so there is a bit more selection. The board wipe is one-sided, and he doesn’t really help the win condition. If they are too busy being afraid of him, the rest of your strategy may get some room. With the classic Mardu package, if they decide to wipe they’ll be playing into your plan.
Think of all the neat deals to solve problems on the table or when to wipe. It’s a big stick but not one that slows the game down too much and it’s quite telegraphed

Honestly a good way to put it tbh. I had considered trying to build it only mardu with some utility lands and artifacts to get the ability off.
