AT&T NumberSync with Watch6 and Flip5

I have a Watch6 and a Flip5 on AT&T. They're connected to each other via NumberSync and sometimes Bluetooth when they're both powered on. When I get a text or call to my Flip5, I also get it on my Watch6. Should this work the other way around? If I get a call or a text sent directly to my Watch6's unique number, I just get it on my Watch6. Should it also go to my phone too? Or does NumberSync not work that way?

I'm on T-Mobile, so your mileage may vary.

But, I tried calling my watches number and it rang 4 times then went to VM. I left a voicemail.

Watch never rang, no indication of VM, just like a ghost number.

Thanks for your reply. I actually have call forwarding set for my watch's phone number to automatically forward all calls to my phone. Which works pretty well. It's the texting I'm concerned about.

Just sent a text to my watch number and absolutely nothing happened.

That's unfortunate. I at least get the text on my watch, but it doesn't send to my phone. Not even when I'm connected via Bluetooth. Don't know if this is relevant, but I am using Google messages, and my inbox option on the messaging app on the watch is set to "watch". Perhaps try that.

Login into your AT&T account you should have different control settings for your watch plan. BTW AT&T controls Number Sync and they suck at it. Never had any issues with Sprint/ T- Mobile watch plan.

Do you know exactly where on the AT&T account management page I need to configure? I'm on there now and I see both my watch and phone plan. Both have unlimited everything with their own unique number. Where specifically would I need to go to ensure when my watch gets a text sent to the watch's number, my phone also gets that same text. And yeah, NumberSync sucks. Took forever to get it to work!
