I obtained a 1989 copy of Portland-Cityopoly

So I found this in my grandparents’ games. Not sure if they made any other editions. The instructions are not specific to Portland and everything looks like a paid advertisement but it’s fun to see some of the old company logos.

I also found Nord-opoly, the Nordstrom Monopoly game lol.

It’s just 100% product placement. That’s hilarious, and also seems very appropriate for everyone’s least favorite game about capitalism.

Oh my grandparents have one like this but I think it’s called city of roses.

This is awesome

I have held in my hands the "North Clackanopoly" north Clackamas county the board game from around the same era. Although it looked like an unlicensed slightly changed version of classic Monopoly.

My grandparents have Gresham, I think! It's been a while since I've seen it.

I was hoping this would be the version I played. It was a lot more local inspired and less sponsored. I remember it had council crest in place of park place.

That’s what I was hoping to see when I opened it.

Yeah, this sort of feels like paying for an ad-heavy mobile game.

wasn't there a booth at Saturday Market that sold a similar game or am I confusing it with something else? There was definitely a board game being sold

ronworldpeace

I remember seeing this for sale and thinking that we (Portland) had arrived. We were board game famous!
