Update: PowerShell and GUI. PICS inside.
So I decided to stick with PowerShell an incorporate it in the GUI. I stuck with PowerShell becuase I did not want to create an install file for folks and wanted to keep it fairly straight forward for other users to use.
I am fairly pleased with the outcome of it all and still looking to add to it.
Edit
I've went ahead and pasted my code for folks to use. Some changes may need to be made though:
- Line 285 Insert your update path or delete from 285 - 289 if you do not want an update check.
Good luck!

I'm fairly new with Powershell and Windows Forms. How did you do the GUI design? Manually or with some kind of software?

I used Primal Forms Community edition for the form design and exported it to a .ps1 and pasted my code into the proper areas.
