Tablets to use Data Sim on.

Hello Everyone,

I have been on FI for a little over 2 months, and so far am loving the service. I was looking to add a tablet to the service. As I do a lot of conventions with my wife, having a tablet to run the Square Register on would make things a lot nicer. Not having to run or phones down, and the $10 a GB is less than most personal hotspots I have found.

I cant seem to find a good price for a 2013 Nexus 7 with LTE, and the Nexus 9 is still really up there in price. I was looking for an alternative when I found the LG G Pad X 8.0. It looks like both T-mobile and AT&T carry it, and according to the LG website it supports both LTE and WCDMA.

Do you guys think this would work well with FI? I know its not in the supported device list.

Just looking for a little feedback / discussion before buying another device.

Thanks!

P.S.

Thanks everyone who has used my referral code!

Generally speaking, any tablet that supports T-Mobile will support Project Fi data-only SIMs, because the data-only SIMs only use T-Mobile's network.

The only issue you might encounter is having to enter the Project Fi APN manually when you first put it in, but it only takes a minute and there's support documents on Google's site with instructions.
