Subreddit rule clarifications:
Rule 1 - Standard Reddiquette is defined best on the official page (and in multiple languages!)
Rule 2 - This falls under reddiquette anyways, but please remember that these are baseline humans, mostly unmodified by gene engineering and mostly unchanged by evolutionary pressures on non-Earth planets, you're typing to! They have feelings! They simply want to enjoy the game, please don't sully the sub for them. If you have any complaints, please bring this to the attention of the moderators!
Rule 3 - All NSFW content must be tagged as such, no exceptions (either by an NSFW tag on a post, or spoiler-tagging and marking a comment). Failure to properly mark NSFW content will result in an automatic 3-day ban. Further unmarked posts can and will result in a permanent ban. Using the NSFW tag when it's not needed is clickbait, and will earn a 24 hour ban to prevent misuse. (Screenshots of unmodded content are generally considered SFW.) The Reddit Content Policy must be followed in all cases. There is absolutely no sexual content involving characters or people under 18 years of age, period. This is a zero tolerance rule. See this post for more in-depth clarification.
Rule 3.5: Posts containing RimJobWorld content must have the Explicit flair, and be tagged NSFW. As with the main part of Rule 3, this is also zero-tolerance, and has the same restrictions and consequences. Do not discuss explicit RJW content in comments unless the post has the RJW flair and NSFW tag.
Rule 4 - Content should contribute to discussion, linking a detailed stream explaining a mechanic is allowed, linking a playthrough is not. If the aim of your comment or post is to get views or subscribers, please use our sister sub Rimworld Streams. Links to YouTube videos and streams should serve a purpose.
Rule 5 - Posts must pertain to a specific vanilla or modded RimWorld playthrough or be original-content artwork. Memes and other low-effort content not pertaining to a specific playthrough should be posted on our sister subreddit, r/SpaceCannibalism.
Rule 6 - When posting a screenshot, please leave a comment explaining what the focal point is. It's very frustrating to look at a screenshot and not know what it's about. Additionally, the subject of a screenshot should be clearly visible in the image. That means blurry pictures taken from a phone or low-resolution images are subject to removal. The less obvious it is, the post won't be very successful anyways.
Rule 7 - r/RimWorld is the official subreddit for the videogame, and we do not condone piracy in any way, form, or shape. Any post or comment flaunting a pirated version of the game will be removed, and a temporary ban might be handed to the discretion of the mods. Anyone posting a link to a pirated version, or even hinting at how to obtain one, will be banned permanently from the sub, with no exception.
We hope you enjoy your stay!
