Noticed that two different factions use the same insignia.

Has anyone else noticed that the Bedrosian military and the Aschen Confederation use the same insignia? Is there an in universe explanation?

There is no in-universe explanation, but my headcanon thinks it makes sense.

We didn't learn enough about the Bedrosians or Aschen to confirm that they knew each other, but it's possible that the Bedrosians were members of the Aschen Confederation. It would explain how the Bedrosians got such advanced technology and why they were so suspicious about the stargate.

Nope. One was an insignia on the bdus of the bedrosians, the other was a giant aschen confederation flag in the gate room.

Seriously, is that the only time we see the emblem in 2010? Do they outright say it’s an Aschen banner? It’s a museum, so I’m thinking maybe the SGC captured the banner when they went back to take care of things with the Badrosians.

That’s a possibility I hadn’t considered. Logically though since the Aschen are basically in control it would be their emblem since having it there is akin to the presence of the American flag.
