Steyr scout cheek riser kit

I cant find instructions for this anywhere so im using the exploded diagram in the manual.

Two questions,

1. Does anyone know where the #47 'distance plate' goes?

2. The seated nut in the cheek piece doesnt sit square enough to recieve its counter sunk bolt, it was a hell of a squeeze seating the nut in place and i could file it in to the right position but am awfully reluctant to do so, although im dancing on the line of a cross thread at this point. Has anyone else had this difficulty?
