Real question about Trump's policies.
I am not a fan of the man, but I've been looking through footage to see his stance on trans adults, and I'm not sure there's a significant legal reason to be afraid of his "attack" on trans people. Okay wait...let me backpeddle. Taking away funding for transitions, federally, for all trans people (whether minor or not) is a big hit. I guess my question is, do you think there will be other, unforeseen repercussions? I know the trans military ban is coming down the pipeline as well, and that's going to suck for a lot of people who have served faithfully and will lose livelihoods because of it.
It's also not a reach to assume that discrimination will be more widespread. Although I like to think transsexuals are worlds different from transgender, I fear conservatives, in their ignorance (not using that as a pejorative, but literal ignorance), will see us as the same thing and not like us anyway.
I want an honest discussion of what our future might look like. Good, bad, or otherwise.

Him rewriting the Federal definition of M/F to sex at birth and making them immutable would be horrifying. No upside, just maliciously ignorant.
