Absolutely feel like I’m being lowdosed

So I posted about this elsewhere (huge mistake) and the post got banned after an hour. I was prescribed T today. The vial is 100mg/ml, 10ml. My endocrinologist is starting me on .13ml per week, and she doesn’t want to up my dose for 6 months. I am 17, and I’m already starting a bit late, so obviously I am insanely worried this will have no effect on me. I also have really low bio T (bloodwork showed 0.3), so she has no reason to start me this low and want me to maintain it for 6 months. I constantly get misgendered so having to prolong it and also not be able to go stealth for who knows how long is making me lose my mind. Should I just take .2 / .25 instead after my first dose? I am recquired to do my first shot with a nurse, hence why I couldn’t start on .2 right away. The problem is my Endo is ordering a mandatory blood test in 6 months to see where I’m at, and I had to sign to promise that I wouldn’t take more than prescribed, but genuinely, I am supposed to take 13mg every week, and the average starting dose in Canada (where I am) is 20-25mg. She also mentioned that most of her patients rarely take doses past 40mg, which is lower than an acceptable starting dose. Should I just not listen and do the 20mg to start? I don’t know why she expects me to be okay with such a low starting dose. Not to mention, I am a bigger dude (5’9 & 180lbs), so such a small dose is probably barely going to affect me at all. No idea if this is allowed in this sub, but it’s worth trying. Just wanting to know if this seems ridiculous to anyone else

It's better to start low my guy... they started on the max dose that my voice dropped so fast I couldn't even acclimate and ended up having the "trans voice" that took training to correct because well cis men go through puberty gradually they don't just wake up and have a deep as voice it's gradual and gives them time to get used to steady changes in their bodies.

I wish I was started lower... my doctor wasn't knowledgeable at all about transexual care before me.

There are good reasons for starting where they tell you to. If you have adverse reactions it’s easier to accommodate at a lower dose. For example if your red cells skyrocket. Also to avoid unwanted side effects you want to use as little as possible that will keep you in range. Thing is some are super responders and get to range on a low dose. Don’t monkey with your meds. And where did you hear 17 is “late”? I started in my 30s and am in my 60s now. My transition was rapid and uneventful.

Its simply late for me since i’ve been out/ known I was a guy since I was 11 and unable to do anything medically about it. Not to say it is for everyone, I just consider it to be for me. That being said, I am not going to take more than prescribed at least for the few weeks, if I feel like I’m not noticing anything at all and they refuse to discuss it with me then I’m not sure.

just start, you'll feel the change in your mood probably within a week if not its too low. i wouldnt up it that early tbh, it totally depends on how your body reacts to it
you can still up the dose after 4-6 weeks if you're unhappy, female puberty won't go on with extra T
