How many plate class do you have?

Mvin [OP]

How many plate characters? Only one. Why?

I would imagine he was asking to see if you ran SoO more than once a week.

Oh, yeah right. I have only one plate character and did all my Garrosh kills with him. This is possible because while you can only loot a boss once a week, you can bonus-roll indefinitely. Combined with the fact that SoO bosses respawn when killed (without normal loot), you can pretty much kill Garrosh and roll for bonus-loot as many times as you'd like.

However, since it's extremely time-consuming to do the whole of SoO all over again just for another shot at Garrosh, you can skip all the other bosses by saving an ID to one of you alts. You only have to do this once. Take the alt and kill everything but Garrosh in SoO heroic (Tusks only drop on heroic and mythic, and mythic doesn't reset).

Once you have an alt with the ID, do the following to farm Garrosh:

  1. First you have to get into a group with your alt. To do this solo, log onto your alt and create a custom group via the group finder.
  2. Switch to your plate char and apply to the group.
  3. Switch back to the alt and accept the plate char into the group.
  4. Switch back to the plate char (now in group) and hop into SoO before lead is passed to you (the game needs to take the ID of your alt, after all).
  5. You should now stand in the Klaxxi boss room, with only some trash and Garrosh up ahead. Kill him, bonus roll and port out. Log back to your alt.
  6. Wait until lead is passed to you, reset all instances and log back to your main.
  7. Get back into SuO, kill Garrosh again, rinse and repeat.

That's how I did it, and it became pretty automatic after a while. It's a good idea to take an alt for the ID that you can do something meaningful with, since there's always a a minute or two downtime before he gets lead again and can reset the instance. Seems silly now, but not after 1307 * 1 minute. Then again, I was unlucky. Most people seem to get the Tusks within 300 tries.
