Buddy press plugin with Social News Theme issues

Having problems with that setup...the login/register link disappeared when signed out? Also it won't show the entire post in the feed and you have to click on the post to see embedded youtubes using mobile browser? Is this a plugin conflict? Other plugins I have enabled are: ecwid e-commerce, ewww image optimizer, site assistant, and wp super cache. About ready to delete and start over 🤔

This looks like more than a simple plugin conflict.

A few things stand out:

• WP Super Cache can easily break BuddyPress menus for logged-out users if pages are cached for guests. I’d start by excluding BP-related pages and the header from caching. • Social News theme often uses excerpts in the activity/feed template, which would explain truncated posts and missing embeds. • Mobile-only YouTube embeds usually point to lazy-load or JS optimization interfering with oEmbed iframes.

Before deleting everything, I’d: 1) Temporarily disable caching (not all plugins) 2) Check the feed template for the_content vs the_excerpt 3) Test embeds with optimization off on mobile only

BuddyPress setups are fragile, but this is fixable without starting over.

Turn off all the plugins then turn them on one by one.
