Amp Recommendation for 10th Gen Hybrids

So I'm looking to upgrade the speakers in this car and I'm kind of stumped on an amp.

I've seen people mention that you should stick with smaller amps for the hybrids and even the Crutchfield site is really strict about it and tells you if a specific amp has a current draw greater than 30a.

I've done some very rudimentary searching for alternator specs and some replacements parts sites rate replacement alternators for these cars at 40a. See edit below

My specific requirements: I've got the base audio 8 speaker package. I'm looking to power new front components (TBD) and put a sub (TBD) in the rear deck, cutting a hole where the sub would be in the upgraded audio/touring package. (Yes, trunk/infinite baffle for many reasons but that's off topic for this post.)

Has anyone put in some beefier amps in these hybrids and lived to tell the tale? Or am I really stuck with something like this:

https://www.crutchfield.com/p_108P6004AM/Infinity-Primus-6004a.html

If I was a bit riskier I might even go for the 9004a which is rated 40a and provides a bit more juice.

I'm also looking for alternative amp recommendations in the 30a-ish range that might better power a pair of components + sub.

Thanks.

Edit: after some more reading, alternators were a red herring, now to do some more research on dc-dc converters.

Old thread but what did you end up learning on the matter?

Curious what speakers and sub you plan to run with. I’m sort of dreading doing the whole process now so to cheat for the time being and do the easiest upgrade will be this sub since it looks straight forward but eventually I’ll want to do speaker

If I'm limited to that 6004a amp, then I think I'm leaning towards a 10" Hertz DS 25.3 but if I can get away with a more powerful amp I'll pick a different 12".

I haven't quite narrowed down a 6.5" component set yet.
