Built a WordPress editor that publishes static sites (cheaper, more secure, faster)

I've been working on Stelae for about a year. Public beta started ~5 weeks ago.

The pitch: you get the WordPress editor for writing and managing your site, but the public site is a static export hosted on whatever static host you pick (statichost.eu is the default, Cloudflare Pages, deploy to git, or your own server also work). Editor lives on Stelae, public bytes don't, so there is no lock-in for the users and the live site is much more secure and faster and has top uptime numbers. It's also good for SEO.

Free during the beta (at least until end of July). No card.

What I'd find most useful:

  • First-impressions of signup + editor flow (where do you get confused?)
  • Whether the "editor host / publish host" split makes sense to you, or feels weird
  • Anything broken or surprising

Solo dev. Happy to test back if you've got something in beta.
