CRA asked for information, how long until they respond once I provide it?

I submitted and adjustment to my return in April 2021, they responded in December, I provided the info immediately, when will they respond? Does it take 6 months every round of back and forth?

My adjustment lasted over a year. I hope you get yours completed sooner!

Ah that is reassuring that at least they get to it eventually. I feel like it shouldn't take that long but I don't know what's going on internally.

CRA requested docs from me at the beginning of end of September, a receipt and record of payment, I am still waiting, they are withholding any payments and will likely withhold my tax refund (if any). Frustrating, since it took them only a week to deny the original info I sent.
