Command & Conquer: Generals 2, could it become as competitive as Starcraft 2?

Generals Zero Hour was one of the most competitive C&C out there, think they could make Generals 2 competitive?

In my opinion if they plan to do that they have to cut the DLC crap and such and instead focus on delivering balance patches just like Blizzard, although knowing EA I doubt that will ever happen...

Let's hope so. I never got into any competitive scene in a command and conquer; I always played them casually. SC2 was my first eSport, really.

Generals: Zero Hour had a competitive scene that died from lack of support from EA, they shut down the online server and never fixed the bugs that caused crashes and mismatches.

You can tell they tried to make C&C3 competitive with all the balancing they did, same goes for Red Alert 3, but neither has really worked out for them.

That's EA. :P

I noticed Westwood Studios' and EA's RTS games' online services aren't good as Blizzard's. :(

I really hope so, I've switched to SC2 from Zero Hour, and really want to put the old ZH skills into practice once more, hopefully at a competitive level.

No, there is not a country dedicated to playing it(South Korea).

It could still get big though, just not as big.

Generals 2 will kick ass.

You don't know...

Here's a thing: if you think the game isn't worth playing, don't play it full stop. Don't try to justify piracy by badmouthing EA. I'm not a huge fan of them myself but I don't try to pretend that I'm entitled to their games without paying for them.

Pirating the game from a poor company like EA is just the consumer's way to place their vote in the capitalist market. It's supposed to happen.

Thanks, very few people understand that.

Well it's not stealing, it's copyright violation. It' still bad but it's not the same thing.

What is so bad about Origin? I don't mind installing another Steam unless it's worse in some other way?

On the other hand, if they have DLC then forget about it, I can't buy an RTS with DLC, if they want to add new units they should gather them up and add them in a full expansion pack with a new campaign.
