I’m on PS5 and after reading about many problems with the 2.01 patch, I’ve prevented the game from updating.
Is there any real downside to staying on 2.01 for the time being?
I already have the Vigilante (and it seems like their fix doesn’t fix it anyway). I’m currently thinking I’ll just wait for 2.02.

feels like 5 of 100 bugs/problems got fixed with this 60gb patch.. in my opinion not worth it. Im waiting for 2.02.
One of the biggest things 2.01 addressed for PS5 was saves getting corrupted and losing all progress. I’m on PS5 and I dunno if I’d stay on 2.0 tbh
Did you update? I’m thinking the same thing. For corrupted saves i haven’t gotten the dlc yet and it seems ppl only have issues when they start the dlc
Yeah, I did eventually bite the bullet. I was about to start the DLC. I haven’t had any issues (yet) post-patch thankfully.

Are those common? I religiously swap through multiple manual saves, would that potentially save me (pardon the pun), or do they all get corrupted in one fell swoop?

You won't know until you need to load one up. Then you have to backtrack hours hoping there's a save that kept some of your progress. Already had to do the damned mission twice already.

It happened to me a day before the 2.01 patch dropped which was partly designed to fix that.
