Actually it could work either way, give mario loads of 1ups to kill him over and over, or give him a bunch of red mushrooms to just keep shooting, but not kill him. Since the picture is saying ''please let me die'', i'm assuming that the red mushrooms would work better since they would keep him alive.
Don't wanna be a downer but if he wants to keep him alive shouldn't he use red mushrooms? Without them he would die after 1 hit like that
