Arcane Warrior pendant in Inquisition?

Hey guys,

seeing as the Arcane Warrior was always my go-to-(sub)class in Origins, I was wondering if Bioware also put a battlemage-type class or specialization in Inquisition? I haven't explicitely seen anything of the like in the reviews, but I thought you guys might know more.

Knight Enchanter. Looking to be almost as OP.

They show off a bit of the Knight Enchanter's abilities in their newest video:

Ah, very cool. I assume you need to take mage as the base class, as well?

Yes. Mage, then somewhere around level 11 you can pick a specialization. If you search for Knight Enchanter in this sub, you can find gameplay videos and the skill info.

I'm definitely going to roll one, or three.

If this is the most OP, that'll be my insane run after I 100% the game with my rogue.

Without playing we can't know for sure, but everything we've seen so far is pointing that way. An all melee part might even be viable now.

On normal my damn ranger sucks. I guess I need a healer since you only get 8 potions and you can't set followers as precisely as the first game.

No healers in Inquisition. Get aggro on your tank, use guard and barrier. Your ranger shouldn't be taking much damage at all.

Well that changes things. I guess I need a better bow. It's only 40 damage where I have 2 daggers over 90. I found the item that resets your skills though so that's good.

How far in the game are you? I didn't think respecs were in the EA early access.

You can buy an item where the smith is. It's 350Gold I think? My 6 hours are up so I can't check.

While we're at the topic, did Bioware release a videos series of sort where they've shown off all the different classes and specs, like they did for Mass Effect? Something like that would be really cool to see what I'll be going with when the game comes out.

Yes came out today on the bioware dragon age YouTube channel.

I thought Knight Enchanter was for the NPC only, do the players get it too?

all the specializations are available to the player given the right circumstances. (likely a quest for the companion who has the spec)
