Let me break this down for you:

qfuw indicated that he couldn't do something because of <problem>.

I suggested a solution to the problem.

You then indicated that my proposed solution was only cosmetic, which I refuted.

Then you switched gears and started talking about the cost. If you'd opened with that, rather than backpedaling (without even admitting that you were wrong and that in this case a name change would not be solely cosmetic), then I probably would have said "Yes, and the decision as to whether or not it's worth it is up to u/qfuw." I might have even elaborated on why I thought it was a valuable investment.

But you didn't, and it seems awful silly for me to give you a serious response when you haven't even addressed my previous one.

All of that said, it looks an awful lot to me like you're the one who's unable to "admit to [his] faults."

Too bad you can't send him some of your Crystals, given that there is absolutely no benefit to OP to change his IGN and plenty of benefit for everyone else in this thread.

Hell, given the helpful information that qfuw has shared with us (which helped me clear stage 25), it's a shame there isn't a donate button in his thread, as I for one wouldn't mind sending him a buck or two.

Spider-Gwen T2 is one of those T2's that drastically improve the character. At T2 she deals solid damage and since she's iframes galore, WB is not a problem for her at all and can practically face tank (other than infinity Thanos). For SL, she wipes the floor on her applicable stages solo, TL she can deal with pesky Sharon Rogers, overall one of the better T2's worth advancing.

I rarely used her so I don't know very clearly.

BWD - AI controlled her throughout. Took care things by herself. Sometimes my manual controlled Silk died before she did.

iT - having multiple iframe skills, her skill sets suit fighting against iT. But the best I could do was getting him to 400K HP by the 5-min mark. The same old problem of lack of DPS in my side ......

Regular Thanos - Breeze.

However, I've not got nearly this many characters, maybe you have some ideas how I could beat floor one without the nuclear option (Carnage)? I have a limited roster http://i.imgur.com/MIkYuQ0.jpg and made it to floor 5 last two weeks, but had to use the big guns early.

I have 6* IF and Deatlok (17 gear) and have been trying IF with 4* Luke Cage with his 3* leadership and 4* White Tiger for more invuln tagging time. Kind of asking IF to solo... Gotten down to Spidey and Ant once or twice, but IF just gets worn down. His obelisk is just 18% Dodge, 40% 2s invin, Stun resist.

Thanks for any tips!

T2SR, T2Carn, Silk, Loki, SB and YJ can all solo a stage by themselves (if your gears, cards, alliance level etc are developed enough) so that's 6 floors already. A13 could also solo using the perpetual barrier trick. I think 7 or 8 floors are realistic goal for you right now. Your roster, honestly, is still in the early stage of development and so you need to keep developing for some time.

What you wrote previously is pretty much the best you can do. Maybe switch out more frequently and kite more frequently. Maybe try using 6* first to stun, then use 5* skill to deal damage, and then leave and kite or switch out.

You think either one-time-damage, heal proc, or a better Invincibility obelisk on IF is likely to help (more)? Overdrive ISO.

More DPS from a one-time proc would add variance, which might help get that fluke win, or I've got a 61% Rec, 25% crit dam, 40%/4s invincible obelisk to maybe last longer, but I've been holding out for a rec/dodge/one time proc for him with a view to his eventual T2...

I Made it... Thanks for the advice. It was very closeand White Tiger had to take the last sliver off Spidey, but we got there.

Now to try to solo Red Hulk rumble... YJ did the trick with 2* ant and giant.

I dont know what you could chose from at stage 19 But I always do the Blast relay(SG/Wiccan/Lash) with my T2 Silk there. Because its basically the last stage where Silk is useful (and she annihilates that Blast relay). All higher stages, either she dont meet the entry reqs. or lacks the damage because of counter class bosses or other distraction.

So you would have had your Corvus for Daredevil. But, even with Corvus, I think you would need a 30% leadership and maybe a buffer to deal enough damage. Better do Luke Cage with corvus and keep Sharon Rogers for Daredevil. Even with him being the counter class she is so ridiculous OP that she kills him with 1min to spare with a good leadership.

On floors 17-20, I would try to do the stage that gives CNS. If somehow no stage on those floors is suitable for Silk, then I could only blame the bad luck ......

Though I absolutely agreed on the part about the (un)usefulness of Silk (not only Silk but also pretty much the rest of all the speed heroes) in floors 21-25.

Usually I try to get the cNorns on 17-20 but thanks to my bad luck the right most stage with the cNorns is usually the worst to do, like Wave or Rumble, which are impossible to do without wasting the precious BO chars that you need for the highest stages. And even then, with the most OP chars (BO) those way to over-tuned waves with more then 2 bosses are hardly beatable and are a major struggle.

But you are right if the cNorn stage is do-able without sacrificing the capability to clear the 25th stage (because of the best reward (60 cNorns/ 5* card) always do it!

Great stuff as usual. I for the life of me cannot take down Venom with Angela. Just can't keep him guard broken. I use GM and stomp him into a corner, switch to Angela, and have tried and tried with your patterns, but he still manages to slip that one fear out that tears everything apart. Funny though I can keep him guardbroken with GM for the entire match, just doesn't do enough damage. Thanks for the guide!

I'm stuck on floor 23 this week. Given that the final stages are high on blast, villains, universals, energy dmg requirements does it make sense to use t2 mats/t2 ticket to t2 lash? How good is he? Consideringbl t2 vision as well.

I T2'd Lash solely for his potential in Shadowland. 4 sec of immunity every 6 sec (per T2 passive), plus 3 sec of stun every 5 sec (per 5* skill). On paper he can stay out of danger infinitely. And now not only on paper but I also actualized the theory by successfully practicing it in the real battle (and it is a high floor one!). It is hard to stay like that against two opponents (detailed reason is written in OP) but I'm sure he can breeze through single-enemy floors (e.g. Carn, Ven and Luke on Floors 20, 21, 24 respectively).

I highly recommend T2 Lash for SLD. He's not as useful in AB/WB though but I don't care, since his mission is to do well in SLD and he really can.

I'm F2P, I only have few T2s, 6 in exact. And Lash is one of them. Not even AM, not even BW, not even Elsa. That can tell how worthy he is.

I do put Vision as my high T2 candidate. He has 3 sec of immunity every 4.5 sec. The 1.5 sec gap could be filled in by the i-frame in 5* skill. On paper he can also have infinite survivability. But I think it is harder to maintain / maneuver that than for Lash. And I also doubt if the damage output is high enough to handle higher floors. Anyway this week I saved Vision as a backup (T1 Vision is not quite useful anyway so it doesn't hurt), and see if there's a need to pull the trigger of T2'ing him.

BTW, you have raised a good point that blast characters (especially villains) are highly sought-after in higher floors (and the opposite for speed characters, especially heroes), and this is why I don't advance BW, SM, GG or Elsa at the moment, although they are good.

Yeah i all clear wbs already and the gaps in my roster are as follows:

Combat ab->thinking t2 warwolf

Speed bw->thinking elsa, gwen or misty

Combat bw->thinking warwolf

Blast bw->thinking wiccan

Female bw->thinking of misty, elsa or gwen

My gwen and misty though are far from ready. I have 1 spare 5* ticket and 225 in bio selectors available for a 1* misty who has 249 spare bios. Everybody else is. Currently f2p. Havent spent since sharon patch. Vip 6. Have enough t2 mats to t2 1 hero and 1 t2 ticket. Current t2s are: prox, sugi, ebony, corvus, groot, fist, goliath, yj, sharon, wasp, antman and yondu. Stuck on floor 23.

Hence why i'm considering vision or lash instead. I actually want hyperion and carnage but i dont want to spend at the moment. So lash deals more dps than vision at t2?

Can t2 wiccan clear floor 23/24?

Should i also consider malekith, dwarf or songbird for this purpose? My malekith is at 4* with a few spare bios while songbird is at 3*. My main goal next week is to clear until floor 24 of shadowlands if not all clear it while at the same time filling in any gaps in my roster as stated above.

Combat ab-> I have also written a guide on beating AB with only T1 chars. See if you can replicate the DL/KP/GT team's gameplay?

Speed bw-> Not sure if T2AM and T2YD are enough to secure the top 10% but I guess they can.

Combat bw-> T2IF, T2GM, T2Groot should be enough to secure the top 10% I think.

Blast bw-> T2SR and T2Wasp should be enough to secure the top 10% I think.

Female bw-> SuG, PM, T2SR and T2Wasp are breezing through.

Shadowland -> 4 BOs and 8 T2s should be enough to beat 25 floors, if you have enough strong, properly-built, SL-useful T1 characters. Probably you don't need more T2s for SLD.

T2 Wic -> I don't have him built right now so I don't know, but at T2 his 2* skill gives 4 sec bind every 4.5 sec, 6* skill gives 4 sec every 6.5 sec. On paper he can render opponents perma-c.c..

T2 Lash -> his T2 passive gives him huge damage boost, so I think his T2 is more worthy than Vision. Not sure about the DPS comparison though. But T2 Lash is capable of beating floor 23 and that's good enough already.

T2 Malek -> For floors 17-19, he is only effective in fire relay. For floor 20, he's only effective in lightning relay. Floor 21, ineffective. Floor 22, ineffective. Floor 23 should be effective. Floor 24 doubtful. Floor 25 ineffective.

BD -> Can definitely make SLD easier but very costly.

T2 SB - > I don't have her built so I don't know, but her T2 looks lackluster. I would build her to be a strong T1 and place her in the grey-area middle floors (around 12 to 17), where not much T1s can handle but T2s are too early to deploy. That area is her sweet spot, I think.

The detailed reply is appreciated. To address:

Combat ab: nice guide but i havent had much success with that team. Most success i 've had is 180-190k with warwolf, t2 fist and t2 groot. I'm thinking with t2 warwolf i'll be able to kill the beast quicker before the roar. Thats what kills me. I cant predict it then run away in time.

Speed bw: i get to the top 9% but i hate losing and i want to round out the team. Preferably with a villain i can use in SL like goblin.

Combat bw: happy where it is now but i'd like to add t2 warwolf to round it out eventually.

Blast bw: happy where this is too but heres where i'm looking to add 1-2 due to shadowlands mid-higher floors needing more blasts. Most likely wiccan 1st.

Shadowlands-therein lies the weakness of my roster i think. I've barely equipped the others except my mains. What i do have are decently built i think.

Wiccan: scores me a win on the earlier floors but i'm thinking at t2 he may get me a win on higher floors like vs. Luke.

Lash vs. Vision: so vision has more survivability (physical immune will come in handy) but lasj jas superior dps and cc? If i had to pick 1 of these 2 after wiccan who should be better for SL?

Skipping malekith and dwarf then. I'll build songbird after i t2 wiccan then but meta might be changed by then. Doc strange is upcoming.

  1. First of all I beat SLD 25/25 finally :D :D Will post another guide for it later.

  2. Tried to use T2 Lash in floor 24 but failed to produce enough DPS. His success on floor 23 last week is just an "illusion", in the sense that, most of the time SHulk and JJ were receiving Lash's damage at the same time, therefore Lash's damage is "kind of doubled" in floor 23. So in other words, "SH and JJ each had 1.6 mil HP, and Lash beat them within 3 min, so Lash can produce 3.2 mil damage in 3 min" is a misleading conclusion. Luke Cage on floor 24 has 2.9 mil HP and Lash can barely half his HP. :(. But on the bright side, he's already proven his worthiness on floor 23 so I'm okay with that.

  3. This guy uses T1 Wic on floor 21. Good news isn't it? :)

I managed to complete 23 with T1 Wiccan. Had an energy attack lead with Raccoon for emergency healing. Took me multiple tries. Eventually managed finished in the last 15 seconds.

I see roughly 26 uniforms. If you bought them all on sale at 750 that would be just under 20,000 crystals. Are you able to attain that many crystals without spending money? I'm sure you've been playing everyday since launch. Getting the 25/day only nets 9,125 in one year.

I'm honestly not trying to criticize. I've actually spent a little money on the game. I figure I've spent so much time in it, and I've gotten a lot of enjoyment from it that it's a fair trade. I just figure it's like an Xbox game that I bought for $60. I'm no whale. That's for sure.

Mainly, what I'm saying is that I'm very impressed that you're able to build up such a roster, and be so successful in game without spending on any resources. With the money I've spent, I don't have nearly as many fully ranked characters and I can't even kill Black Dwarf 4 times. Stuck on 3/5.

I'm actually using all your guides/builds as a template for my roster/strategy.

As for my crystal income,

  • 100 per week as check-in reward before v2.4.0, 300 per 4 weeks since v2.5.0
  • 220 per week from TLB. (Got only 200 for a few times, 180 for once or twice)
  • 20 + 40 per character at level 60.
  • 200 x 3 = 600 for beating the three original world bosses in the first week they were released in March.
  • Facebook reward
  • Last year's Autumn event
  • Some lucky prize from mobirum community events.

I'm glad that my guides help! I hope they are easy to follow and developing players can improve their gameplay from reading them.

Thanos is cost-ineffective in SLD. You could have built up two BOs with the resources used to build Thanos. Assuming one BO can solo one floor, you could've beat one more floor with two BOs than with Thanos.

T2s are even cheaper, but they are not guaranteed to be able to solo a floor. Therefore spotting out which T2s are capable in SLD is crucial before pouring in resources.

You know what would be really useful is to indicate which fights took many attempts. It would give people fair warning that this particular strategy is difficult to replicate.

For me, a fight that succeeds say once in every 5-10 attempts is not a strategy I'm willing to adopt.

Exactly what /u/RuRadi said.

Except those superstar characters like SR, Loki, YJ etc, multiple attempts are usually needed, in terms of using T1 characters in SLD. Maybe around 10 times, might be more than 10.

Unless one has the skills of that Korean player, or exceptional luck maybe, I think it is generally unrealistic to beat every floor, all within 5 trials, with the first 13 floors using T1 chars.

If you want to run through Shadowland with few retries, a more realistic way is to have more T2 chars.

Simply put:

  • Being poor and want to spend less resources? Then prepare to fight harder battles.

  • Want to save time and have an easier run? Then spend more resources to get more T2 chars.

Can't (or hard to) have both at the same time.
