Monitoring multiple graphs in a Network Operations Center

Hey everyone, I'm a NOC engineer and have been struggling to find a free chrome extension that cycles tabs reliably, so I wrote my own! I wanted to share it here because my current role means we are monitoring 20+ different Grafana graphs when on shift, and it is a real PITA to keep track of everything.

Currently I have this running on our monitoring screens throughout the organisation and it works great, feel free to check it out. It's a passion project and it is absolutely free to use. I'd love your feed back and suggestions if you find it useful.

Wow that's awesome, I had no idea this feature existed, I'll check if we already have this on our main Grafana instance. 😄

We also have other dashboards and analytics that we display on the same system, so we need to actually switch tabs, but this is really cool thank you!

Cool kids RTFM

Seriously if you get in the habit of obsessively reading documentation and release notes ( which are excellent in grafanas case ) you'll find all sorts of quality of life features that many miss.

Totally agree. Unfortunately our analytics department decides what is and isn't enabled so we are usually stuck with what the big bosses deem necessary. I've just checked and we don't have access rights to implement the playlists, so the chrome plugin will be a work around until we can have a meeting and plead our case.

Totally. I've created a bunch of tools to help us with our work load, the biggest is an active alerter that calculates the percentages of downward trends and then alerts on flexible thresholds that we set via a user interface I created. The reason being that we are not allowed to use any Grafana plugins so I directly query the Grafana data endpoints. This quality of life adjustment already frees us up from watching for drops in values , but there is a lot that could be done if the higher yos were interested (they're not, lol).
