Smart Notebook Drivers - Bad Environment Error
Hey All,
Has anyone experienced this before? When installing the latest driver software for Smart Notebook I sometimes get an error that will read "Bad Environment Error" when installing. I've noticed that if I hit "OK" on this error message when performing a manual install it'll continue and things appear to be fine. However, I'm trying to mass deploy this to over 100 computers. I would say about 90% of them install with no issue, but the other 10% end up stuck waiting for a user to click "OK" on this message. When remotely deploying with PDQ, the message is stuck behind a "Something is trying to display a message" window that doesn't seem to display correctly through remote control software (mostly because it's my PDQ user generating the message, not my currently logged in user).
I'm not sure what causes the error, and if anyone has seen it before I'd love to know how to clean up whatever is causing it on these PCs that are affected. I've run the Smart Software Cleanup tool on these computers before any new software install (Were upgrading from 11 to 16.2)

the error I get is this:
So it's not much to go on. Now, if I click OK, the install works as expected and the smartboard runs fine. When deploying this with PDQ though, it becomes more of a challenge because the message is appearing on a different user session then the logged in user. If no one is logged in, then there is no way to click "OK". If someone is logged in you can click "View Message" and you'll be presented the message from the deployment users session on the computer, and you can click "OK" and then the deployment will continue. It doesn't always recover after that though.
Like I said, it works on about 90% of my PCs. Thankfully it was a vacation week and I was able to run around and manually update the handful of computers that needed it. However, I'd like to have this install cleanly for the future.

Yeah not much to go on. I've been pushing Notebook via SCCM for years and it's always been nearly perfect.
If you run the same command that PDQ is using, say with psexec or locally on the machine does it make a difference?
