Connect using https locally

I have a new Ubuntu install with MW running on a local install (not fwd facing, internal only) but I cannot get it to work with https. I dont get any errors, it just does not connect.

I thought the firewall blocking 443 but my webmin install connects with https so it's not that.

Apache is listening on 443 and I tried all the locals settings config file options I could google and its not that.

Any idea what I'm overlooking? Seems like its probably something easy.

Are you sure it's listening on 443? Might need to enable the module or double check the config

Enable what module? I checked the Apache configuration and it definitely is.

The apache ssl module:

sudo a2enmod ssl
sudo apachectl restart
