What to do regarding posters leaving suicidal "goodbye note" posts?

Is there any way we can contact admins in an emergency or to find out emails etc for the posters? We've had a user today in a local sub posting a goodbye suicide letter and everyone is concerned, suicide is an increasingly huge problem in our country and it's been a big topic of conversation in the subreddit recently. Would love to know what the best thing is to do in these situations.

In addition to contacting the admins you can post the suicide hotline number. It comes up easily when you google for it: 1-800-273-8255. This is in the USA. Other countries have similar.

Yeah, we're in Northern Ireland but the equivalent number was posted and we have a stickied thread of resources. Thanks!

Report to the admins.

Sure, but the admin responses can be pretty slow so I was curious if there's a more 'urgent' method of doing so.

They prioritize based on the title. Make it like “URGENT: CREDIBLE SUICIDE THREAT” and you should get a fast reply.

Administration or a suicide hotline depending on situation.
