Is there a similar thing to Find Items like in DCSS?

Started playing dynahack, love the interface changes. But I was wondering if there is a similar thing to DCSS find items feature?

If you don't know what it is, you press Ctrl-F and you can type a search (or you can leave blank) and it shows you a list of items that matches (or if blank everything on that level).

There isn't. It's rather hard to implement, due to difficulties in tracking what the player knows about where items are. It is something that I'm interested for in the future, though.

What about items on the level? I'm finding the shortcut _ to move to a specific dungeon symbol doesn't work except for things like stairs. I can't use _ to go to items on the map.

That's correct, and I don't know offhand if any variants fixed that. That's much easier to implement, though. (The main problem is that all of .,;: are confirm characters for location prompts – which even do different things from each other – and ; and : are both valid map symbols. . is too, but is common enough that trying to travel to it specifically would be pointless.)

I've added your suggestion here on the NetHack 4 bug tracker, so I don't forget it.

A poor persons' version of that would be downloading the ttyrec and then grep through it.
