Should I consider this request dead?
No posts in 11 years, and all the unique mods have been absent from 3-11 years. The only two mods who are still active on Reddit are the bottom mods but they moderate /r/raspberry_pi and only use this sub as a redirect. We'd like to create a new rpi community at /r/raspberrypi as an alternative for a more diverse set of posts and community interactions.
So when we had the 2 subreddits, there was a lot of duplicate and cross chatter. It seemed better to have a central source of truth. Maybe it's worth something like "raspberrypi_community" if community interaction is your goal?
My goal is to create a general rpi community that encourages more interaction than the rather restrictive set of rules moderators are permitting currently. Respectfully, a longer URL isn't beneficial and would be counter productive. I'm not sure dupe posts is an issue, or that the current sub needs both URLs. The one I'm talking about has been idle for 11 years, I think it's fair to let someone else try their hand.
