144hz Monitor Issues.
Recently sold my buddy my old BenQ monitor and whenever he tries to change the refresh rate to 144hz, the monitor freaks out and changes into a super low resolution. He is currently running a Nvidia 1080 and is connected to the monitor with a DVI cable. The only way that the 144hz feature works is with a DVI cable and not a HDMI.

Is it a dual link DVI cable? He will need one of those. Normal DVI can’t do 144hz

Wow never knew there were two types of DVI cables lol. I will try my other one... they look identical but one of them came with the monitor

It’s a commonly overlooked thing. The one that came with the monitor should see him fine.
