Easy ways to support Ukraine

The best way to support is to make a donation. Only donate to trusted organizations (see the FAQ on the right-hand side of r/ukraine)

Here are some other easy, non-monetary ways to help the Ukrainian people:

  1. share and upvote/like pro-Ukrainian posts on social media (reddit, twitter, fb, youtube, imgur, linkedin etc). Also upvote posts about Ukrainian successes (this motivates the Ukrainians and their supporters) and Russian war crimes. A lot of people don't know much about what's happening and this will allow them to understand the situation and will show everyone that a lot of people care about what's happening.
  2. downvote lies and pro-Russian posts. There is an entire pro-Russian army of trolls spreading disinformation which could make people doubt the truth.
  3. attend an anti-war rally
  4. spread the word: share your views with everyone (friends/family/co-workers/government)
  5. display Ukrainian colors (blue and yellow): flags, ribbons, stickers in front of your house, cubicle, car etc.
  6. reduce energy consumption. I know it's difficult, but maybe you can carpool or ride a bike instead of driving in some cases? Russia is funding the war mainly from sales of oil and natural gas. By reducing the global demand, you're automatically reducing their income. Every gallon or liter counts.
  7. do not buy products made in Russia

Bullets 1-5 above are about visibility. It is a huge thing. If people don't see what's happening, they don't support the cause. If politicians see a lot of support for the cause, they act accordingly.

Any other ways that I failed to mention?

I cannot emphasize calling politicians that need your vote enough. Actually call. It’s what old people do and it’s highly effective

Nice list and omg, I'm doing all of it, except riding a bicycle. And I'm no longer friends with most of my family and my friends. No regrets. One blessing in all of this - we can see everyone for who they really are

I got a Ukraine sweatshirt and have had many conversations because of it. I have flags up outside my house and post many pro-Ukraine items on my social media. In a small town in Washington State, there is a lot more Ukrainian support than I thought there would be considering how many people are Trump supporters.

We changed our garage lights to blue and yellow and it’s spreading down our street to other houses (Indiana, USA)

7 is pretty easy. I have never seen a product with Russia as the country of origin on the shelves where I live, ever. The only thing I can think of was Tula ammo. McCain was spot on when he said Russia was a gas station masquerading as a country.

I've been donating directly to the UA gov website to support MoD.

Call and write your elected representatives.
