NSX Integration in vCenter 7.0u3 for existing deployments

Has anyone got the NSX-T Integration in vCenter 7.0u3 to work?

I upgraded my existing 7.0u2 installation, but when I go to the new NSX Tab in vCenter, vCenter says I have no NSX and wants to deploy a new NSX-T Manager.

I have the vCenter as Compute Manager in NSX-T 3.1.3.1 with the Trust option enabled.

Exactly the same for me.

Existing NSX-T versions are not supported for the new integrated feature.Integrated NSX installation requires NSX-T version which is not yet released as both products have a different release cadence. Please stay tuned - it should come shortly!

Update: Release notes have been updated to indicate this statement. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/rn/vsphere-vcenter-server-703-release-notes.html#productsupport

Yeah I haven't found a way to integrate existing yet either

Maybe it requires NSX-T 3.2 but that hasn’t been announced yet. That there’s no instructions anywhere suggests it’s waiting for something…

Yes, you are correct.

I’m using 7u3c and NSX-T 3.2.0.1 and I’m still not able to integrate the existing nsxt to the vsphere ui

I setup everything from scratch and still half of the ontegrations for NSX-T fail. For example NSX Advanced Loadbalancer cannot integrate with this new NSX Manager because the vCenter object in NSX-T is missing the service account integration which cannot be activated because the autogenerated vCenter object is missing the Port and cannot be changed.

3.2.0.1 is still a shitshow. Probably the reason why VCF is still using 3.1.x

In addition I’m now on 3.2.0.1 upgraded from 3.1 and I’m having issues on the Policy UI, unable to see the groups and dfw, getting out of index error.. I’m astonished

Ah yes that too, can't see any firewall rule statistics (hits etc)

Waiting the support on this I’m stuck with the upgrades now but lucky I just upgraded the lab environment… waiting for a fix..

The issue on the UI is related to a uncommon character, I’ve groups with $ inside the name.. the support told me that on end of April will be published a new release with the fix.

I’m the meantime I’ve also deploy a complete new env with 7u3d and nsxt 3.2 from vcenter and after the deploy of the first appliance it just loading but never shows the integrated UI 😒

Update from the case: the issue on the NSX-t UI is caused by a Group that have on the name a uncommon character “$”. On end of April they will release an update that fix this issue. Let’s see if they also fix the integration with vc for the brownfield environments
