I was a bit worried you were thinking about the replacement rate when you made that original claim. But think about it, how long have we been below the replacement rate? How long does it take for a birth to become a death? I'm sure you've heard we have an aging population right? They estimate there's still 30 or so years until the reduced replacement rate catches up to us

Here in Australia, we have an entry-level position open and about 50% of the applicants have a masters in cyber. If you have no real work experience, the role is better than nothing. The relevant experience is around networking and maybe physical pen testing, but cabling, stacking servers, and all the other tasks will not be that relevant to a future employer.
