I suspect it's simply just not wired to check for that kind of interaction, so it would be great to see what you are doing to check it on our end.

I assume you mean the consumer of the report -- that option was added for Explore, and we are considering bringing it as a transient option for report viewers too (like row headers had a freeze/unfreeze transient property too).

How are you applying a style preset via a measure?

I have more stuff I want to do with the style presets for sure, and one goal is to enabled the creator letting the user pick between light/dark or whatever colors/theme you want to expose. And also to add UI for presets beyond the visual to page and report level. Nothing solid on timelines but it's on my radar.

Hey u/bilbo851 -- I've filed the bug with the team. Until we get a fix out, you can set the auto-size behavior to fit to content or grow to fit to have the custom width on your row header column stay.

Hard to please! It is in the slicer visual which does require the slicer header to be on for the clear selections to show. We know about this one and are looking at de-coupling this in future.

Hey u/mike_honey (I responded the same in your comment on the blog too). The round range was always on by default, that's how our visuals have rendered. The new thing is we now let you turn it off if you want. Previously, you weren't able to do that unless you set the min and max explicitly.

the list slicer capabilities are quite extensive. we want to bring dropdown to the list slicer visual itself.

Got it. Let me discuss with the team and see if we can give label it's own horizontal alignment or let it still use the value one even when value is off.

Alternatively, you can use the new user context aware calculated columns and use it in the values section too.

You can't simply edit the base theme directly in the PBIR -- it has to be custom theme added on top.

The way to do it in the custom theme with the new visual defaults is like this:

The label element only inherits the horizontal alignment of the value when the value is enabled. Here you have the label but value off, and label doesn't have its own horizontal alignment, so it will default to left alignment.

What is the scenario here where you want these as labels instead of values?

Thanks Mike, we have been moving to having just a small paragraph here in the monthly update then a longer standalone blog / docs for more detailed info.

Glad you are excited for our upcoming overhaul of the date slicing experience in core visuals! We are working on the date slicer now and it's coming in Q2! So, even though you don't see it just yet, we are fixing it now.

Correct, only new pages would be impacted. Any existing page would keep their size.
