Not necessarily. One can get proficient in as little as 6 months depending on the amount of time one dedicates to it. Quite a few on YT such as 先生 Dogen have excellent guides and outlines. In short, immersion, repetition and dedication and you can be fluent fairly quick.

Japanese will be my third truly fluent language, and I’ve had fun with it. I do study daily, I also listen to podcasts, and watch Japanese dramas on top of that as well. The best part is when you see something online and just know what it says, or for example the other day I was in a lesson and I realized I had read the sentence by the kanji, not the hiragana. Celebrate those moments and be patient with your shortcomings and you’ll be less likely to just give up when it’s hard.

Seeing the differences between native Japanese releases and localized just increases my drive to become 日本語上手.

They’re the same potentiometers. In all my testing a s with answers from others based on play style, those that don’t see drift as often, either don’t use l3/r3 or put only a minimal amount of downward pressure on the sticks. The oem potentiometers do not work well with pressure.

I haven’t done a lite but ifixit has guides for it. You can take off the stick cap covers and swap them. Might have to put a tiny drop of abs safe adhesive to keep the middle of the cap cover from bubbling though.
