How do you guys go about Link building?

Lil_Tod

Yeah, and the higher you aim, the more expensive it gets.

The frustrating part is how heavily monetized link building has become. Getting a bigger site to link to a smaller one even when you’ve done original research, can feel like pulling teeth unless there’s money involved.

Building relationships definitely helps, but it’s hard not to get cynical when a site would rather rewrite your findings and publish them as its own than give you credit. They get the attention, while the time and effort you put into the research go unnoticed.

Lil_Tod

Good breakdown, especially the distinction between shared progress and what you still have to do on each character.
That’s where alts can save you time, but also where it’s easy to turn a farming character into another expensive gearing project. This AION 2 alts guide adds a useful angle on when to stop investing so your main actually gets something out of the extra runs.

Lil_Tod

Solid run, i would only add this note while speed leveling:
Watch out for if you’re leveling to 45: don’t open the map’s Duty tab before you get there.

There’s a bug that can leave Duties unavailable until the following day if you click it early. This guide explains how to avoid it and what to do if you’re already stuck.

Based on your prices, this is not a boost done by hand...
If you have an actual player boosting your class levels that should cost a lot more (based on time spent playing real games) - for example take Cap's leveling prices and you will get my point, also other sites have real prices (unlike yours).

So when you promote experienced boosters, what do you mean by that - bots?
I've seen PROs at Captain-Carry, and i can tell you, they all value their time.

Lil_Tod

If you looking to meet with real website owners, you should try WebSEO, a private discord community - just for that.

Lil_Tod

First i wanna point this solution for you:
If you are looking to get collabs (backlink exchanges, brand mentions and similar) for free, you should join WebSEO, its private community on discord filled with website owners who does this on daily basis.

Btw, i agree with your statement - link building today is terrible.
1. Manual Outreach is terrible (as we do it as well), zero responeses...
2. Public communities - 99% of the time ppl try to sell you (and they are middleman - so this is extra cost).
3. Agencies are same as these PBN sellers just on higher scale, at higher prices, with prob better results.

Overall, nothing for the normal ppl, and this is the reason why WebSEO exist, as a club where all kinds of website owners can connect and collaborate without paying for backlinks.

Lil_Tod

I didnt wanted to mention a name as i dont wanna get removed/banned from here, but yeah... Get Pro Links is the community that scams and removes members.
Filled with agents (PBN sellers) who work for the owner, they constantly DM members and sell cheap placements, after few transactions everything that was done, is removed (as they dont pay the actual owners), and when we rise this in public chat, they remove you from the community.

I've reached out the websites that published my articles (which i paid for).
And the reply was this: "You must deal with the agency that acted as middleman, as they never paid me, so i had to remove the articles from our site"

So they dont just scam us (take our money), they never paid the publisher as well.

Lil_Tod

You can simply google the niche and specific topic you wanna link with. First write down the most important topics for that niche, and start googling - up to page 5 visit all the websites and write down their contact info.

It is slow and painful process, but at least you will end up with a solid number of websites within that niche.

Once you have done your research start sending emails, but i must say the results are not as primising as you think - so it would be best for you to join a community (WebSEO Club) where these owners actually wanna connect and collab for backlink exchanges and brand mention.

Lil_Tod

To pay for something to ruin your reputation, it must be next level genius.
All i can think of (for paying PBN seller) is this one - If you are starting a brand new site and wanna move out of the ZERO zone, i might consider investing ~100 USD (~10 USD per backlink), just to move the needle a bit and snowball from there.

Now, consiedring how hard it is to get natural backlinks - as today its really hard to get your brand mentioned, or your blog cited by another website, i will suggest you join communities for website owners - where they collab and do exchanges on backlinks and brand mentions... but the right way.

Lil_Tod

For long term relationships and collabs with real website owners, you should try WebSEO club

Lil_Tod

Yeah are not a thing for SEO, but i am sure they are for the reader. This is todays problem, everyone focus on quantity and SEO quality content, just so you can rank higher, we all forgot about the reader.

You as a user when you visit something (no matter the niche) - You should be able to easily scan the important content, the key info and resources, the smart tips and suggestions - this is what i mean when i talk about Quality visual content.

Lil_Tod

u/Rinat-Shpinat Is it ok if i feature this bridges at Captain-Carry? I am sure many of the gamers would love to have them.

Lil_Tod

A smart person will not argue with such skilled fella.
But for real, i am glad that you accomplished such things onyour own, at least thats where we all start no... Alone trying to make a living out of something that we love, or more importantly if we can help others with our idea. Now i was about to pitch my idea here again, but will leave it be this time ;)

Lil_Tod

This is solid advice, BUT it mostly applies once you already have resources, connections, or a budget behind you.

A lot of smaller site owners, solo bloggers, and people just starting out don't have a PR team, an established brand, industry relationships, or the budget to spend thousands every month on outreach, link placements, podcasts, and content campaigns.

The hard part is that everyone says "build relationships", but nobody really explains where beginners are supposed to find those relationships.

For smaller websites, I think communities are one of the most underrated ways to start. Finding other real website owners in your niche, exchanging knowledge, sharing content, collaborating on projects, and naturally earning mentions is a much more realistic starting point than cold emailing hundreds of sites and hoping for replies.

This is actually one of the reasons we built WebSEO Club, a place where smaller site owners can connect, share opportunities, and collaborate without needing a huge SEO budget.

Backlinks still come down to relationships. The difference is that not everyone starts with those relationships already built.

Lil_Tod

Honestly, i've stopped relying on public forums and cold outreach a while back. Most of those link markets are flooded with junk inventories, and cold email is just a ghost town these days.

I've been inside WebSEO Club for some time now, and all I can say is it's been night and day. The difference between running things in a public, spam-filled forum versus a private setup with real website owners is wild.

Instead of dealing with dead-end pitches or paying a middleman for sketchy links, you're actually talking to builders who have active sites and real skin in the game. Everyone's down to share what's working, trade backlinks directly, and troubleshoot traffic drops together. Cutting out the noise and just working with a solid crew changes the whole grind.

Lil_Tod

On page SEO
For on page SEO, you should actually go with the agency that has history of quality results - remember this takes time to reflect the performance.

Of page SEO
As for those agencies that will promise your domain Ratings (DR) and domain authority (DA) improvements - try to avoid, all they do is resell backlinks or manage a PBN link placements from farm sites.
What to do instead is this:
1. Try to do manual out reach for collabs (if you have a person just for that).
You can target Facebook/Reddit Communities (you will land on many PBN sellers), or do personal research and reach out to websites.
2. You can also join private communities thats dedicated just for that - look for: WebSEO Club, its a community where ppl collab (for free) and improve their DR/DA, scale social profiles, engagement on content and much more.

But always have in mind, growing a website in whole, takes a lot of time, effort and experience.
Nothing is done within a few days.

Lil_Tod

I can suggest you WebSEO Club, they do exactly this and few more growth opportunities - all for free.
Basically websites owners connect and collab for websites overall growth (authority, ratings and branding), they also do socials mutual following off-page seo engagement.

Also, you will find many on facebook, as well as reddit, but nothing with the similar structure.
