What about the one(s) removed for being 4. duplicates/spam

There were many posts about the latest book, but the critical post was removed while all the positive ones remained.

pretty weird.

R2robot

'froze electronics' is that about his phone overheating?

R2robot

733lbs/322kg

R2robot

There is no background context, so I can't really see how it's moving, or if it's moving at all.. or if it's all just camera movement.

After stabilizing it though, it just looks like a star.

Compare it to the star Sirius for example:

It could have been Regulus:

R2robot

The bass player nailed Ale's signature moves.

R2robot

Just words.

If it was true, then why wouldn't they just show the craft and bodies then?

This isn't disclosure, it's a joke.

R2robot

Oh heeeeeeeeck no!

R2robot

Which sightings would it explain?

I have seen reports of planes and for some reason, someone in the comments said it wasn't a plane, it was mimicking a plane.

What would possibly be the reason to even suggest that other than a reluctance to admit that a plane is just a plane.

R2robot

Yes, I saw it, but I like to do my own stabilization and analysis.. so it would be nice to have more than the 5s.

It appears the drone was still moving, right?

R2robot

I do, but lots of the object out of frame.

Heh.. Most of the videos posted here are like that, but surely there is a bit more in frame that just the 5s?

R2robot

Do you have a longer clip?

R2robot

I haven't used it yet, but there is also: https://ldtk.io/

It has a 'super simple export' option that is mostly PNGs and a tiny json file with entity info.

Or you can export json, or even tmx files.

R2robot

Please NO! Stupid wannabe Yankees uniform. No thank you!

R2robot

where the camera operator is panning around it to give the illusion that the object is moving.

Right. That's the parallax effect.

Not only is the function of this experiment completely different,

It's not. In both cases the camera is moving. In the demo, he's walking with the camera. In OP's video, the camera is on a drone which is moving.

Same thing.

We very much can get a rough estimate of how fast it is moving.

And that is the mistake people often make. Someone suggested it could be a balloon, someone doubted that based on what they think is the speed of it, but as the demo shows, it could be perfectly still, or in the case of a balloon, drifting very slowly, but the zoomed in moving camera can make it appear to be moving much faster than it actually is.

can see a very large amount of surrounding terrain.

It can be deceptive. Unfortunately, they've redacted the info that gives that would give an idea of how far away it is. In previous videos like this, it can be a couple of miles away..

A similar example (but not the same as the drone is still) of a zoomed in camera panning to follow an object: https://imgur.com/VHZ5oum

People thought it was flying at high speed.. until the camera zoomed in and showed it's just a plastic bag flopping around in the wind. When the camera zooms out, it once again looks like it's flying at high speed. It's not.

R2robot

Are you fokkin' askin' a random dude on the internet to inform you

I'm asking the guy that replied to my comment with those claims without anything to back them up.

I am telling you that TD is an instrumental part of the this huge, escalatory media push

No he isn't. He's just a musician with a hobby that is easily duped, but happens to have a large-ish platform because of his celebrity status.

R2robot

How much better? I like the Shinko 244s.

R2robot

There was that one time she shouted "YOUR SPANISH SUCKS!" at one of the engineers on the Error album. lol

R2robot

If you can't be bothered to lay it out, I can't be bothered to look it up.

I was just curious as to what you were talking about coming true.. as if he's some kind of prophet.

The only connection I see, that isn't a connection at all, but just fitting that Tom's name would be brought up in a post about fake photos since he apparently believes anything he is shown. (according to Joe Rogan)

R2robot

That's all so incredibly vague.. I don't see any connections.

R2robot

... so that when proof finally arrives ...

You're saying proof hasn't arrived yet then. I agree. And like I said, those fake photos aren't helping get to the truth..

...yet so much of what he said has been shown to be true.

What exactly was shown to be true?

R2robot

The best proof that this is all real is the fact that we're being trickle-fed.

That's not how proof works, and if anything, it's the opposite.

I'm not sure how posting fake photos gets you closer to the truth.

R2robot

... rapidly...?

We don't really know the speed at a glance and all the details are hidden, but keep in mind that this was likely recorded from a drone which is flying around.

Parallax can make the object being recorded seem like it's moving faster than it actually is.

Here is a simple demonstration showing the effect:

R2robot

Just text? No video or pics?

R2robot

Using the flight # mentioned in the other comment:

There would have been satellite flares to the West:

Visualization using the flight and satellite data for the date/time/location:

Since they're satellites, they move very linearly. Any apparent abrupt changes in direction is from multiple sats crossing paths as they fade in/out of view.
