There's a street in my town that turns from a four lane road to a two lane road at one specific light. Right after the light, the right lane ends. I can't tell you how many times people just fill up that right lane trying to pass everyone the left. Funniest part is there's another light about a quarter of a mile further that's almost always red when you get there. Good job guys, you're now three car lengths ahead of where you would have been sitting at a red light. I have no idea what this accomplishes. I just silently say in my head "Have fun racing to the red light."

What an all-timer of an entrance! Fuckin' perfect!

Defensive much?

Same for me, though I don't really pay attention to it. Only time I do is on stacked orders as it can help identify which customer tipped like shit so I can unassign myself from that part of the order lol. Most times it works out.

You gave her a great life! It's hard to let go. I know all too well the conflicting feelings. My dog Misty gave me great friendship for 14 great years. I didn't want to let her go, but it was the best decision for her and I don't regret it. She would have suffered so much if I hadn't made the decision that I did.
Fast forward a couple of years and I'm now the proud dad of two cats, Brody and Freya. They're the light of my life and I know that some day, you'll find another light like your bestie! Hugs to you and your precious kitty! I know you'll find each other on the other side!

I was having major issues with stuttering, freezing, etc. Tried everything I came across to fix it. Nothing actually worked. The only thing that fixed it for me was a clean install of Windows. Now the game runs great for me on ultra settings and hi res pack.

Yeah, I also dash in the south and I honestly think they're going to have problems pretty much anywhere. Besides obvious problems like office buildings, apartments, hotel/motel rooms, there's a whole lot of other shit they're going to have problems with.
Animals for one. I can't count how many deliveries I've done where dogs surround you as you get out of the car. Either the dog is going to do damage to the drone or vice versa. I also deliver to houses that have thick brush surrounding the driveways/house so I'm curious how they would solve that problem.
I'm also wondering how they're going to solve the problem of workers at the restaurants handing over the food to the drones. Half the employees in restaurants barely even pay attention to me. I imagine it'd be far worse for a drone hovering outside that's not standing right in front of them lol.
Drones might work out well in the future for those richer neighborhoods you see that barely have any trees, but that's the minority of orders I do. Just seems like there's a ton of things to overcome as a drone delivering in the kind of area I do deliveries in so I'm not too concerned about it at the moment.

I'm fuckin' dying at "The Orphan" lmao

Crumbl, without question. Every time I've ever been there, they never start the order until you tell them who you're picking up for. The worst is when it's later in the day and over half the time they're out of something the customer ordered. So you end up having to try and contact the customer for substitutions. Most aren't paying attention to their app and never reply. I just outright decline every order I receive for them unless the tip is super good and I'm already in the vicinity of the store.

Is that all? Wat?

Have you checked my history? I barely comment or post on anything in this sub, much less the whole of reddit. Not getting much engagement from me. I only replied to this one because I've been through most of what these posts portray. It'd be one thing if you pointed out specific examples, but you just made a blanket statement about a whole fucking sub with zero proof whatsoever. It's just silly honestly. You made a low effort conspiracy post. Hope you're having fun, but it doesn't look like it's going the way you want. 7 upvotes in 7 hours lol.
A large amount of reddit users have their history hidden now.
Nah, they really don't. I can pick a random person out of any post I view and their profile/comments/posts aren't hidden. The only people who have their shit hidden, in my experience, are people who have controversial or hypocritical opinions. I see this all of the time on certain political subreddits. You wanna see some bots in action, go to /r/conservative. You'll see the same handful of accounts post the majority of the content on that sub. I'm not ignorant of bots or AI, but honestly, this sub of all places, is not a hotbed for that activity. People who have done this shit for a living can sniff out a bullshitter a mile away and they'll call it out immediately. I'm not saying it never happens here, but I don't think it's quite as prevalent as you're proclaiming it to be, especially with no examples given by you. Have a good one.
ETA: And the only reason I even looked at your profile was to see what kind of comments or posts you made on this sub. The fact that yours was hidden was a red flag that this was a bullshit post.
Remarkable_Fall
Joke's on you, I don't upvote anything. Also funny how you have your whole comment history hidden. Fuckin' bot
Remarkable_Fall
Have fun bot

If you think all the AI posts and shit are good publicity for Doordash, you might be barking up the wrong tree, my dude. Drivers fucking HATE this fucking company lmao
Remarkable_Fall
By saying "I've been doing this long enough" I mean I've done over 2k deliveries and none of these "AI" screenshots disprove anything. I declined 13 out of 20 orders tonight because they were not worth it. What exactly are you trying to do here?
Remarkable_Fall
Are we going back to the times where the even seasons sucked and the odd ones were fuckin' great? Sure feels like it.
Remarkable_Fall
I been doing this long enough to know that they aren't fake. Happens daily to me. Have fun being a conspiracy theorist, brother.

This guy has put on bangers! If you can't rise up to his level, even at 48, fuck ya! You're dead weight pal!

It is completely supposed to be a bonus for services rendered.
It's SUPPOSED to be a bonus, but it doesn't work that way in reality. We get paid by doordash $2 for an order whether it's 1 mile out or 15 miles out. Without a tip, pretty much none of these orders are worth it, especially if you live in a market that is rural. I've got 2k deliveries under my belt and the amount of low/no tippers that have tipped afterward I can count on one hand. I don't blame customers for not tipping as most don't know our pay structure, but at the same time I'm not going to take an offer with no tip in the hopes someone is kind enough to tip after. I signed up to make a bit of money, not gamble. If DD actually paid us more than a pittance, this wouldn't be an issue.
Remarkable_Fall
Just like you're a single woman who doesn't want to meet their dasher at the door, I, as a doordasher, don't feel safe walking up into a house that I have no clue who the residents are or what may lay inside. You know your surroundings, we don't. Consider it from our perspective. Just something to chew on.
Remarkable_Fall
That's what I'm saying lmao
Remarkable_Fall
You may not feel like it, but 19 years is a long time for a cat. And you should feel special that you gave him the love and care that you did to lead him to a long and happy life! I can tell that you loved him and that he loved you. Best wishes for you and your family!
I'm definitely noticing a change in my area. Not to the point of getting peak pay, but I'm noticing the crappy orders bouncing around a ton more than I used to. They get stacked with other crappy orders and still don't reach the $1/mile ratio. I'm also noticing orders just sitting at restaurants more often. We have a local restaurant here that is a more quality version of Chipotle. You usually have to wait a few minutes for an order and the pickup section is usually empty. Walked in there Friday for an order and saw 8 bags in the pickup area lol.
I also got an email the other day that Doordash is rolling out the new points system soon in my area as well as "Dash Anytime", so I'm thinking they're probably losing a ton of drivers because of gas prices and don't have enough to cover the market.
