Yeah, but the white stuff in the core? What is that?

Morning coffee is how I discovered my sugar addiction. I thought it was the caffeine, but turned out my brain wouldn't start without that tablespoon or so of sugar in the morning.
IMO starting the day with that peak-crash is a terrible idea. But then, I've never had anything against black coffee. If I do need something more, I usually do butter-coffee with sucralose.

What gets me is when I get 'S++' but my team gets 'S' and I'm solo.

@anbeav LOL My first reaction was 'Ew. Don't touch it.'
The spots don't seem to have a texture of their own. When I scoop a bit out it mixes in and gives the ghee a weird gray color. And when I look closely, there are gossamer strands around that also seem weird. I'm starting to think that this is mold or mildew.
I'm going to toss this stuff, just to be safe. I'll call this cross contamination and keep it in mind on my next attempt. Thanks for the quick reply everyone.

The windower addons enternity and/or FastCS will cause this on some cutscenes. Force crash and disable them before restarting the CS if it happens.

I came back about 2 months ago and at the time, the only computers I had were running Linux. I had zero problems getting FFXI to run on Arch Linux with Wine from the official repos.
Windower doesn't work, something about the hook.dll needing debug libraries that aren't in Wine.
Getting my controller to work with Wine took a bit of work. But I found a wrapper for Dxinput that did the trick. Turned out to be less software and effort than I've spent getting a PS3 bluetooth or 360 wired controller to work with FFXI on Windows though.
I don't know about your graphics drivers. The laptop I used had Intel HD3000 graphics; it was kind of like playing on the PS2 again, even after I started to dual boot Win7. LOL
So yes, depending on how you play, FFXI works great on Linux. :-)

That image definitely says her age is 'unknown'.

I've considered starting with a fresh character. Gonna do all the things first, though. :-D

Huh. We have something in common, then.

Yeah, I've tweaked all the things...
I never intended to use this laptop for gaming. I only came back a few weeks ago and have a new computer on the way built to the suggested specs of XIV with some tweaks for things I've read about running XI on new hardware. So, it /should/ blow XI out of the water. :-)
Not that I'm playing XIV anytime soon... it looks like all the things I liked about it have been added to XI.

Yeah, some kind of GPU is important. Intel HD3000 gfx are killing me right now. Just about any area added after CoP runs at 10fps or less. >.>

PS3 controller also works via bluetooth...

Check your keyboard settings? My zoom is set to '>' and '<', but I use a compact keyboard. #1 I think? There are two compact settings now.
eeach
Yeah, you can turn auto-lock off...

That pop NM fight?? Yeah, 50ish is probably right with trusts and stuff.
I accidentally did it as a WHM90 with no trusts ヽ((◎д◎ ))ゝ

Rhapsodies is super useful for a lot of things. But, it requires you to finish a portion of each of the expansion story lines (first 1/3rd?) as a part of the RoV missions.
Even if you're not interested in the EXP bonus, the extra trust, skillup bonuses, and reduced fees for HP transport and FoV may make getting Rhapsody in White worth it.

They do it that way to save bandwidth if you DC during the update. The updater will pickup from the last downloaded file... (well, it rehashes all the files and then starts with the first one not up-to-date) not a great design considering /today's/ tech -- bandwidth is cheap now, but 15 years ago... it was a boon to people with even the best cable services, not to mention dialup.
Oh, that makes sense. And is a much better search term than "weird white stuff", believe me.
Thanks!
