Well I do also think there’s a lot of good storytelling there too. Vaguely ancient warrior is actually the exact right tone for Odysseus’ crew. The Agamemnon symbolizing death, power and posture simultaneously. Most of the costumes feel old and worn down. The laestrygonians medieval armor feels alien and futuristic high is how they’re used in the film.

its not just period costumes at scale designed to withstand weather at real locations, which is already impressive, the costume department is traveling on boats and up mountains to do their jobs.
