u/stfuthomas We appreciate your contribution to the investigation as well. Please note that the support team will get in touch with you regarding your account as we work on restoring your friends.

Hi OP,
Thank you so much for trying out Campfire on day one and reporting this issue. You found a serious bug! As suspected, this situation was an unintended side effect of using the Campfire account deletion feature. Our team has paused the delete functionality until we get a fix out, which is expected next week.

We will restore the unintentionally deleted friends (and friend levels) for you and the few users that this affected. Our support team will reach out to you and the affected individuals. Again, thanks for the report, and we hope you try Campfire again!

Hi OP!

Do you have more details that you can share about the situation?

We have never encountered this in Campfire and want to help resolve as soon as possible. A few things that you can check:

• Are you using the exact same account in Pokemon GO as in Campfire? Your Campfire account will not show the same friends as your PoGO account if you used a different login.
• Do you use the same email for different Pokemon GO accounts? (i.e. you use the same email for your gmail and apple accounts), and if so, are those accounts linked? If you have different accounts and they are not linked, logging into Campfire with an account that doesn’t match your expected account in Pokemon GO will mean your friends don’t reflect.
• Are you seeing the friends “disappear” in Pokemon GO? Are they “disappearing” in Campfire? More details here would help identify the issue if there is one. Your post is currently unclear and we would love to help troubleshoot.

To help us investigate directly, we would need your Pokemon GO username and screenshots of both friends lists as well. If you can reply here and then directly message us that information, we can help investigate right away.

As of right now, there are no known issues identified that match your description and we are eager to resolve if you can help with the above information!

Hey /u/SunRaven01. We are aware of this issue, but unfortunately, I don't have a timeline as to when it will be fixed.

Hey there, can you try again now? I think we fixed this one.

I might be misunderstanding but it sounds like you were able to complete the process with your Pokémon GO account. If you got to the confirmation screen via Pokémon GO login, then you're good to go. If you have the same username on both your Pokémon GO and Ingress account, you only need to reserve your Code Name once. Trying to reserve it again will result in an error.

Can you share the username you're trying to reserve?

Hey there! Usernames that reference character within the game or brand (like the name you selected) may already have been reserved. Sorry about that.

I just checked in with our engineering team. Do you mind trying again?

Hey there, can you share your username so that may investigate this?

Thanks for your patience, Trainers. We’ve been hard at work resolving this issue, which is preventing some Trainers from logging into Pokémon GO. Access has been restored for many Trainers, and we hope to complete this process soon. If you're impacted, check your account email for an update.

Thanks for kicking off this conversation, u/StrangeFreak, and thanks to everyone for your patience while we investigate this issue. We're sorry for not providing an update earlier.

We’re aware of an issue that’s preventing a subset of Trainers from being able to log into Pokémon GO. If you’re affected by this issue, you’ll see a message indicating that you’re unable to get game data from the server. Don’t worry, your account hasn’t been deleted!

We are hard at work untangling this sticky situation, both to resolve the immediate login issue and address the impact that it is having on Gyms with Pokémon from affected accounts, as well as identify the root cause to prevent this situation from happening in the future.

We have begun the process of restoring access to those accounts that are unable to log in and resolving the issue with affected Pokémon in Gyms. Please bear with us, as this will take some time to fully complete.

Your understanding is truly appreciated, we’ll be providing more updates to impacted Trainers as information becomes available.

As /u/HonkHonkBeepKapow points out, there are two Georges are the office...but I'm the original George.

Nope, there's two Georges at the office. Liz is really cool and a good friend but she's no NianticGeorge.

As /u/chaoticgoblin recommended, please ignore anyone suggesting that you do this. You don't need to take a selfie in the surrounding area photo. Just take a photo that shows the location is in a safe and accessible place.

And don't be worried about favoritism or prejudice in the review process, we have mechanisms in place to handle reviewers that attempt to abuse the system.

Also, if you have the Ingress Agent's Codename, you can report them and we'll investigate: https://support.ingress.com/hc/en-us/articles/115009205707

Thanks for posting. I'll let our engineering team know about this issue. If you have experienced this issue, please fill out this form: https://goo.gl/forms/ZOPrL2StPTI32Vv62

Fun fact: his name is Maple and he is a very, very good boy.

Thanks for flagging this issue. Our team is aware and this will be fixed a future update.

Thanks for posting. We've seen a handful of reports about this issue but we haven't been able to reproduce it. I can have the team take a deeper look into this issue if you're able to share your Trainer Nickname and the approximate time that the issue occurred.

UPDATE: Thanks for sharing your reports. Our team is looking into this further.

Thanks for sharing, everyone. We're currently investigating and hope to have this resolved soon.

Good call out. We're aware and are working on this now.

u/The_9_month_lurker, I'm going to send you a PM regarding this issue.
