Because his dad forgot to wear a condom.

randomguy701546

I don’t know how to tell you this, but your gf is a nerd who sucks solder.

randomguy701546

Looks like a Ser 5 Max. I bought one for my daughters main PC. The 7735HS has been a great APU and I too was confused on having a 2.5 caddy on the case, but no ribbon cable. The NVMEs work great though.

randomguy701546

Does yours have a 2.5 bracket but no 2.5 sata connection? I have one now and I’m trying to chase down if I can add a 2.5

randomguy701546

So how do you get a vin? I see a vin provided for insurance setting, but not other notification

randomguy701546

Good point. It’s playing a bit too close to the chest.

randomguy701546

It does indeed outweigh the reward. Thank you for your honest answer.

randomguy701546

I did. Thankfully prior to 10 years of marriage as well.

Charge-offs were in Dec 2022 for the most part, nothing later than 2022.

I have all 3 apps installed, accounts frozen, and validate scores via the apps/credit-karma/annual credit report (once a month). I have nearly everything payment automated to the current balance. Ahhh thank you for the clarification on the charge-offs vs the settled for less. No late payments on the auto.

randomguy701546

They are varying times, but most less than 1-2 years old. I automate everything so nearly all my payments are on time, some were not due to divorce and consolidation/settlement approach. I know its less than favorable, but I was able to accelerate my payments and understand that the current situation is resultant of those. Scores presented are Equifax, Experian, and Transunion.

Not expressly. Typically I leave it open to her, and let her earn it. Ergo she gets allowance for chores, she gets to go to friends houses if she completes her chores/maintains good manners. If she wants to go buy something, she has her funds to do it. If she wants to go somewhere with another kiddo, she lets me know ahead of time so I can talk with the other parent and try and set something up. She has a good bit of freedom in that realm.

Update 10/14/25 - I don't know guys. Yesterday provided a revelation on certain aspects of my daughter and her mother's connection/situation. My daughter came home from spending time with her mom and stated "its too much to have different rules at each home." I asked what she meant, apprehensive because of her mother's tenacity at bad mouthing our homes having separate parenting styles. We practice parallel parenting, against my exes will, because of the aggressive control my ex would attempt to excerpt through means of emotional, mental, physical and verbal abuse. A rule set at my house is "Mommy's house/life is mommy's and dad's house/life is dad's" affirming to my daughter that neither should affect the other, and both parents should be afforded privacy from the other, unless of course it any way harms her or puts her in harms way.

I learned that her mother instructed her how to "bring up her concerns" about the difference of rules at both houses. She also brought up how she gets in trouble at her moms for acting crazy because "shes unable to get her wiggles out" at my house when she is unable to go somewhere on her weekends with me. Call me crazy but this provides merit to the argument that my ex is trying tactics to control both homes and/or my life through our daughter. Through this understanding, I again feel I am unable to live/parent my own life/child without some threat looming over me.

I asked what the differences were between homes, my daughter clarified her prior remark. I learned that roughly 90% of the chores are the same between homes, as are some of the rules. So I'm unsure if/how I'm being unreasonable in my approach. Please look at the following (within the ~~~~) and let me know if I am being unreasonable:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My house rules are simple:
  1. Be respectful and polite to others, and treat others as you wish to be treated.
  2. Think before you act, speak, make a decision.
  3. Help out with your designated chores and affirm they are completed within reason.
The chores are simple as well, examples:
  1. Keep your room and bathroom clean
  2. Maintain proper hygeine and wash/dry/fold your clothes/etc
  3. Assure the pets have adequate food in their feeders.
....
The reprecussions of not following the rules or finishing her chores are inability to do what she would like to for that weekend (going to a specific place, going to a friends, etc), and "big girl things being turned off (TV, Tablet, Games, Trampoline)." Let me know but is that unreasonable? She has toys, art supplies, and books in her room - she has a wealth of entertaiment presented to her external from weekend events and big girl things. I applaud my daughter's improvement from prior shortcomings, completion of chores, and etc with enthusiasm and appreciation.
If she disagrees or wants to talk, channels of discussion/communication are always open, and I take her thoughts/feelings into account. I admit, at times after repeating myself for the 6th time (as example from last night), I do get frustrated and raise my voice. At times when I do, my old military comes out in a firm voice I repeat the instructions until completion (ex. "Sit up/Pick up your clothes/etc"). Talking with my daughter last night after such a response, I clarified to her, "I've asked you 6 times, politely, to do as requested. I'm worn thin kiddo and I don't know how to get through to you."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

At this point I don't know what to do. I'm sinking into the feeling that my daughter is either becoming more like her mother by attempting forms of manipulation, or is being molded/controlled by her mother as a means to try and affirm control either over my home, or perhaps to cause issues that can be litigated later on.

randomguy701546

I'm in a similar boat. My ex wife wants/pushes the "best friend' narrative heavily for her time with our daughter, its been that way since the early years and divorce. My daughter only sees that side and doesn't see the conversations with therapist or counselors where my ex claims shes "difficult/stuck on things/etc." I want to be a friend my daughter can confide in, but second to being an "advisor' to help her succeed in life and be a good person. I'm not the "best friend" but I'm the one that supports our daughter both financially at both homes, does my best to afford her opportunities in her interests, and doesn't pressure her into activities that are truly the parents desires.

randomguy701546

loyalty conflict?

randomguy701546

Thank you for sharing as well. I’m thankful for the anecdotal compassion.

randomguy701546

Shes 10 and I understand kids say things without thinking at times. I'm battling not seeing her mom in her as she has tested boundaries and tried to manipulate prior.

randomguy701546

Absolutely. I was in a similar situation. My ex was abusive in many senses of the word. I continually clarified during our multi-year divorce proceedings, I just want to live my life separately and have her do the same. No ties beyond our daughter. Alimony was assessed after I asked for her to pay her own bills....
